| blueyedgirl47's Full Review: Konica Minolta DiALTA Di520 Laser Printer |
My company purchased a Di520 in 1999 because it had the ability to crease, z-fold, staple in three different ways, and hole punch your copies. It also has the abilities the be hooked to your computer and network as a printer. So far we've run over 500,000 copies on it and it definitely works better than any other copier we've got. (We've gone thru 2 others so far.) It also has the amazing ability to remember where it stopped copying. Let me explain...
Say your running copies of a book with 50 pages. One of the pages jams. Most other copies would involve taking everything a starting over again or trying to figure out where it left off. This machine actually tells you how many originals to place on top and where it left off. That's a great help when you are in a hurry.
The biggest problem we've had thus far is that it jams frequently, and although they promise user friendliness, it's only easy if you know the machine and all the hidden areas involved. Trust me, when we first got it, I was very frustrated when I couldn't figure out where the jams were exactly. And, you have to be careful about what brands of paper you use because the wrong brand can cause even more jamming.
