Pros: Easy over clocking, price is low. Good Technical Support and quick turn around on RMA's
Cons: First board I received was defective, but other than that it's a great board
The Bottom Line: Those who buy this board won't be disappointed with the onboard features. If you ever do need technical support you will find Abit very helpful and quick.

| bagabus's Full Review: Abit KD7-RAID Motherboard |
As there has been a very comprehensive review already written regarding the features of this board, I will simply add my experience with this board for others to view.
I originally chose this board because of it's great features and low price. I mainly needed a board with RAID, 6 channel sound, onboard NIC, and DDR 400 mhz support which this board has. The great over clocking features with the SoftMenu Technology to set CPU parameters also influenced my decision to go with this board. The KD7-RAID doesn't have Serial ATA, Bluetooth or gigabit network, but those options can be found on other versions of the KD7 if you need them.
I purchased the board through eBay in a sealed new retail box. I received the motherboard and installed it with ease. The layout of the board is quite nice although I had to pull out the power supply to install the CPU fan and like a lot of other boards, the 1st memory bank clip and the AGP clip overlap slightly, so I had to make sure I installed the memory before the video card, but of course, that's really not a problem. Anyway, installing the motherboard went quite smoothly.
Now as far as the problems I had regarding this board. When I first booted the computer up, I discovered the primary IDE controller was not working. I tried several different drives and cables, but it still wouldn't detect any devices. I updated the BIOS, which was quite simple. I compliment Abit for their documentation regarding BIOS updates. But unfortunately, that didn't get the IDE controller working. The board turned out to be defective, so I ended up needing to RMA the board back to Abit. This as well went quite nicely. The RMA was done online and the turn around time was fairly quick. Abit's support is superb and I was impressed by the way things were handled. I now have a new replacement motherboard and so far everything seems to be functioning properly. Although I was a little disappointed at first, I'm now sold on Abit.
Summary:
The board is nice, with great features, and although the first board I received was defective, I think my case was a rare occurrence, and over all, it's a great board.
