The new generation in the continuing line of VMSS 'Brain Shakers' it still caries the same problems as it's predecessors. First the pros;
1. The unit is very small in size and can fit in most pockets;
2. The metal body finish is nice;
3. Single battery operations is imperative to reduce physical size;
4. Sound quality provides for full sound
Now the drawbacks ...
1. The VMSS headphones break easily and are difficult to replace ... I always have difficulty finding replacement headphones sold separately;
2. No beltclip capabilities are present. The unit does come with a pouch but is not convenient for runners and joggers;
3. VMSS ... not everyone is a believer. The lower unit though does have the XBS;
4. Vibrating single pad on the neck vs. Vibrating headphone ear pads. I preferred the later;
5. Color Schemes ... black and red ... yech ... but that is a personal opinion.
Beware ... the VMSS is not for everyone ... you will either 'love it' or 'hate it'. Would not recommend for a gift unless the recipient specifically asks for VMSS.
