Pros: Just everything but the one "gotcha" in "Cons."
Cons: Can't recall a PIN number and dial it during a call.
The Bottom Line: Get used to a whole new way of thinking, as it resembles a cellular phone in its architecture. Forget it if you depend on calling cards.

I was overwhelmed and overjoyed as I opened this baby and proceeded to master its gizmos. But since our family has divorced from AT&T in favor of calling cards, entering long PIN numbers [hopefully from memory] is pretty important to us.
I called tech support and they said to store the access and PIN numbers along with appropriate pauses with each entry in the "phonebook." Only problem with that is you can't store enough digits for that!
Battery Backup for power failures: This one got me excited especially since it has lighted handsets. [Makes calling Edison easier.]
I want to hug the guy who thought of the illuminated handset, except that I'm a guy, but an E-pinions cyber hug is OK I suppose.
FOR FOLKS LIKE ME:
I don't buy cordless phones every couple of years, so I wasn't up on the new technology. [We've had our present one since 1991!] All the latest cordless phones seem to have 2.5 mm jacks in the handset which accept "standard" hands-free sets. Those are available many places, but the best deal I've seen is at the 99-Cent-Only stores for, you guessed it, 99 cents! One caveat, though, as 99-Cent-Only carries two kinds, one with a three conductor plug and one with four [don't get that one!].
