Hey if it ain't broke, Don't fix it. This phone from v-tech can definitely make an impact, and Take an impact. As noted by the numerous times it has been dropped in this house and still works just fine.
I bought this phone for my girlfriend 4 months ago. Ever since she has wanted to do her entire room in a Translucent Style because of the kewl Red Translucent style of phone. It works great all over the house, the 900mhz is more than enough power to make sure the signal is always clear. I want to touch on the things this cheap simple phone has the other ones don't.
its very compact, almost the size of a mobile phone.
a belt clip, which doesn't seem useful at first but it is.
a microphone/headphone plug in. Hands free operation is great for anybody, if you hate your neck hurting at the end of a long phone conversation you'll love how easy they make this. Any type of headset will plug-in to this phone.
it hands on a wall or sits on a desk.
the only button on the wall/desk charger is the Page button which has saved me countless hours of searching for a misplaced phone. A nice feature of this is that you don't have to run back to the charger and keep pressing the button. You press it once, the phone Beeps until you Find it. How simple is that.
the only switches on the phone are Volume Control, makes it easy if someone isn't speaking up, or talking too loudly.
Did I mention the one I bought at Best Buy came with a 20 dollar rebate, meaning the entire phone cost me 20 bucks.
This is Simple, but Effective. You will not get tired of it, it always looks New, and its always worked. As witnessed by my girlfriends habit of throwing the phone if she gets mad. And it still works. =)
