Pros: design, durability, sound -- I love this player.
Cons: It doesn't come with a terrific headset, but that's true with all these players.
The Bottom Line: Look around, feel them in your hand, you'll find that the Rio's are the best out there.

| dagsbabe's Full Review: Rio S50 Street (128 MB) MP3 Player |
I did extensive research on MP3 players after my first Rio broke from over use & too many drops from the treadmill. After looking at the other manufacturers, decided to stay with Rio because of the design actually, its a good looking machine, with easy button layout, nice carrying case with a clip & it feels durable, unlike the others I looked at which felt like theyd break the first time I accidentally drop them. I am very happy with my Rio S50. The entire design is intuitive, the clock is a great new feature as was the radio. I always buy my own headset with these things because I like the volume adjuster on the cord between my ears and the player -- anyway, this is what goes first on these things, the place where you plug in the headset wears out -- it just happens after a couple of years of daily use -- BUT until it goes, the sound quality is First Rate, no static & clear crisp sound. The volume is levels are great, it can get pretty loud, so loud that people on the subway can hear the music if I have it up to high. I highly recommend this Rio.
