Pros: Has Great Colorful Reception! Not too Big Or Awkward. Perfect Size For The Bedroom!
Cons: Mono sound. VCR Has Only Two Heads.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this unit for anyone who is looking for a TV for the bedroom or the kids room!

I was looking for a TV for the bedroom, but I did not want one that would be too big to fit on the dresser. The Quasar VV-2002, I figured would be the perfect size. And it is!
I bought this television set for use in the bedroom, mainly because of its size, but any TV in a larger size would be a real problem trying to fit on the dresser. I saw it on display at Office Max next to the smaller version of this unit, the 13-inch size. Even though I own a much larger 27-inch Panasonic TV in the living room, the bedroom is much smaller than the ones in the apartments where I used to live.
Quasar video / electronic products are also made by the same company that makes Panasonic & Technics products! So I knew that I was getting a good quality brand. All of my stereo components are Technics products! You know that you have a good product when you buy one of these! So I had one of the store clerks bring the unit out to my car. But I found out that the box would not fit in the trunk or in the back seat! So I had the clerk remove the TV from the box so that it would fit in the back seat, at least.
I got it home and set it up in the bedroom. Having had to
take the defective cable box to the cable TV office down the street, I had to wait until after I got home from work to try out the TV. I then found out that it works great!
Features:
1. 20-inch diagonal screen.
2. Built-in 2-head VCR.
3. Front panel controls include power button, volume up / down buttons, channel up / down buttons, stop / eject
button, rewind, play, fast forward, record button & timer button.
4. To the left of those buttons are a set of audio / video in jacks for dubbing.
5. To the right of the main buttons are indicator lights for the Program Timer, On timer and Record
6. Remote sensor and headphone jack are just under these lights.
7. Remote control has these same buttons plus buttons for display, tape position,counter reset, mute, night, sleep,tracking up / down, numbers keys, add / delete, program, action, cm/zero, speed and pause/slow.
8. Night button on remote sets the screen to a slightly darker less harsh display for night time viewing. CM/zero button on remote lets you skip over 1 to 3 minutes of unwanted material such as commercials. Sleep button lets you set the sleep timer for 30-minute segments up to 90 minutes.
9. Has UHF / VHF antenna / cable jack on back of unit.
10. Has two easy-grip carrying handle on back near the top, one one each side of unit.
11. Front mounted speaker.
12. Instruction manual is easy to read & understand.
13. Has timer that can be used for things like cooking,
or an alarm clock.
14. One-year warranty on parts, 90 days on labor.
15. Energy-star rated.
I found this unit to be quite useful and reliable! It's perfect for the bedroom and the kids bedroom as well! You
can't go wrong with this one.
About the only shortcoming that I found with the unit is that it does not have stereo sound and the built-in VCR has only two heads, which could affect special effects viewing, like rewind, fast forward and pause/ slow.
But if that's no big deal for you, then you would be making a wise investment in this TV! It's a simple basic unit for normal everyday viewing as well as for watching you favorite recordings on video cassettes! It's the perfect lazy man's TV with some of the features of the much larger TV's!
