Pros: Removes allergens, dust , uses little electricity, features a nightlite. Eliminates odors effectively
Cons: Tiny 'mist' noise, needs cleaning once/week initially, expensive for a plug in filter, bulky.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended: it cleans the air of dust and allergens, removes odors, and can cost less than Scented Plug-ins over a year. Also cheap if bought at outlet/ebay.

| cheesebob's Full Review: Sharper Image Ionic Breeze SI627 Air Purifier |
The bathroom ionic breeze is a nice plug in version of Sharper Image's larger ionic breeze Quadra and operates with the same basic internal mechanisms.
I bought this plug in as a 'tester' to see how effective the ionic breeze family is, before moving to the more expensive ionic breeze Quadra. I bought it on Sharper Image's eBay site for $18, instead of the normal $69.95. When the plug in first arrived, I first noticed its size. It was about 3/4 the size of a standard advertisement brochure, yet that was not a problem.
I plugged in the unit, and immediately, air was circulated through the unit's grid and a fresh smell penetrated the air. Also, the LED nightlight came on.
Over the next week, I let it run and by the end of the week, it began to make a static noise, indicating that it needed to be cleaned.( This may also be caused by high humidity, in which case it is harmless. ) Cleaning is very simple: First pull out the internal collection grid, then wipe it with a damp cloth. Next, let it air dry, and slide it back in. A smear of what looked like an oil stain came off of the grid, along with a small pile of dust.
Over the time that I have owned the unit, I have noticed a small mist-like noise caused by the high humidity of my location. This actually can be a quite soothing noise, but a night can get annoying, so I just keep the bathroom door shut. Additionally, the unit needs less cleaning per month after about a month or two of use. ( hence the Sharper Image's claim that unlike other filters, with the ionic breeze the air gets clean and stays clean. )
The plug in also removes strong odors from the air, and is amazingly effective at doing so. I once even held a still smoking incense stick up to its air intake and both the smoke and the odor of the incense were gone, making this a truly effective air contaminant and odor remover.
As I have found, the unit is durable, as there are no switches to break or have malfunction, just plug in and go.
