I'm sure there are negative things said about Bose but I can't imagine why. The thing about any Bose speakers is that not only do they have the higher frequencies covered but the bass response on their speakers is unbelievable. They are the only brand I've ever heard for home use (I mean aside from the ones in recording studios) that faithfully reproduce the actual recorded sound of the music. Nothing is lost. You may be hearing rumors but until you listen to a set of them yourself, you'd probably be doing yourself a favor in reserving judgment. I mean it--go a store, have them crank up the volume on your favorite song and you'll be absolutely blown away, I think!

Are you sure they are that good? I've heard storys that Bose are rubbish, they deliberatly boost the high frequences to make them sound good at first (ie in the showroom), and that they are nowhere near as good as any other hi-fi companys. Bose aren't even reviewed in hi-fi mags because apparantly, they (Bose) try to sue the magazine if they give them a bad review!
