Pros: Stylish looking, combo means takes up less space, headphone jack and coaxialcable jack on front
Cons: small screen, sometimes noisy vcr, was expensive when I bought it.
The Bottom Line: The Aiwa combo tv is great for anyone looking to save space and still have a functional television. It's perfect for gaming, watching movies, or catching a program!

The Aiwa VX-S135 13 in. combo tv is both stylish, and functional. I recieved mine for a gift about 5 yrs ago, and it's still running as though it's brand new. I haven't had any problems at all.
What Is This Tv Like, and What Is Included With It?
It combines a traditional VCR with a small screen tv.
There are coaxial cable hookups on the front bottom panel, making it super easy to connect game consoles or other media players to the tv. No more having to move the whole tv away from a wall, or worse, dig thru a snakes nest of cables behind the entertainment center to plug in things to your TV!
The television also comes with a set of rabbit ear antennas, which surprised me. I hooked them up figuring that I would be lucky to get two channels. I instead have a great selection of about 10 or so channels, including PBS. If you live in an area where there are lots of tv signals, you probably could pick up a good selection of them as well.
How Does The VCR Work?
Playing videos in the tv is easy..you just pop it in, and hit play. There are the VCR controls on the bottom panel of the tv in case you lose your remote, but everything is on the remote control too. The remote is rather large, but the buttons are responsive and it doesn't eat batteries like some remotes. Tracking works really well, and the whir of the VCR is tolerable. It's not the quietest VCR ever, but it's not a big issue.
The VCR has the capabilities to record shows for you, although, since I don't watch tv, I have never used it.
I would think that it would work okay though, since everything about this tv seems fine.
Who Would Like It?
Obviously, since the tv is a 13 inch, it's a small screen. Don't buy this if you are into seeing every last detail of a movie, because there is no way you will. The colors are accurate, very crisp, and nice. No wierd green people or orangish red tones to everything you look at!
How Does It Work With Game Consoles?
Playing video games is a breeze with the tv..you just plug in your console and turn it on. The sound is very clear, and clean sounding. Everything is in full stereo sound which comes out of the two speakers built into the sides of the set.
If you have room mates and don't want to disturb them with the noise of a video game/movie/tv show, there is a headphone jack on the front of the set. Just plug in your headphones and you can still enjoy your entertainment!
Cost
So what does this television cost? When I recieved mine as a gift a few years ago, it was about 150 dollars at Costco. I am sure they have probably gone down in price by now though, since Aiwa constantly updates thier product line.
If you want a small television with great features, this is a good choice! It would be really great for anyone going away to college, or who doesn't have much space to give up to a television.This television/vcr combo would be really good for someone who lives in small apartment or dorm. The dimensions are about 15" tall, 17"deep and 12" wide. It fits nicely on smaller tv stands, or in a wall mount.
With its stylish silver exterior it fits in with just about any style scheme of a room too!
