Pros: Good size, ideal for a kitchen.
Cons: Picture is dark, "analog widescreen" only good for DVD.
The Bottom Line: A good TV, but only for DVD's. Do you really need a widescreen TV on an analog television?

This is a fine unit with a great design, but the use of a wide screen television for an analog screen is limited exclusively to DVD's. If you are planning on using this set for a kitchen or on its own with basic cable, you will have to make adjustments to the picture in order to eliminate bars from the side on most of your broadcasts.
That said, the unit has a great picture for an analog screen, and with a DVD player the image is crisp, but dark. I don't see the colors coming in naturally on this TV with a regular cable feed.
People ordering online without seeing it in person may be interested in knowing that it is WIDE! Being a wide screen TV with side speakers, this unit is a very healthy width and a great height for under-the-counter purposes.
However, watch the price and consider a smaller HDTV if you want to use one with Digital or High Definition TV, or DVD's. For a Kitchen or secondary room with nothing else hooked up to it, this is a great size and a pretty good picture for a kitchen, if you don't mind stretching the picture to fill the screen.
