If you are the occasional PDA user, with no need for extra gadgets to plug in, then this may be the PDA for you! Be careful about getting away from the standard software load, because it appears that Toshiba's website lacks the in-depth software/FAQs support that we may be taking for granted in this day and age. Their website is spartan at best... I would suggest that you immediately load the POCKET-PC software updates. (Namely, the MSN messenger won't connect to MSN without an upgrade)
Bear in mind that the consensus seems to lean toward toshiba abandoning their products as soon as a new model comes out. Go to Toshiba and try to find support for the 750 before you buy it... It may make you choose to look into a COMPAQ IPAQ instead for about $50 more with similar features. Battery life seems reasonable, if you set the backlight lower than factory.(It's still plenty bright, though!) Turn off the wireless when you're not using it!Combination microphone/headphone jack is a nice idea, although with the built-in condenser mic, you may never use it! Windows media player in the model won't play some formats... annoying point there, but it's specific to PPC, not to the Toshiba. Ergonomically, the Toshiba fits nicely in my hand (average-to-large) and writing with the stylus while holding the E750 is a breeze. With Pocket PC 2003, the wireless 802.11b network at my house was recognized immediately. USB connectivity(for sync-ing) and ir port transfers were seamless as well to my HP ZE5375 laptop. In all, at $299(mpsuperstore.com), I'm VERY satisfied with this purchase. With my 128MB SD memory card installed, there's plenty of room for programs and data, and the 96M of native memory seems quite adequate. The sync cradle that comes in the factory box doesn't allow for charging while sync-ing... That's the only thing that I've found to complain about! Happy shopping!
