| Renroc's Full Review: Hitachi VTFX6410A VHS VCR |
If you can't program THIS machine, then there's no hope for you. Hitachi has provided the most functional and easy-to-use VCR I have ever owned, and for an affordable price (although I was lucky enough to buy it at cost).
This machine boasts such features as VCR Plus programming, super fast rewind/fast forward, illuminated keypad & display, multi language support, front loading cable slots, and all the other extras like channel skip, etc. One of the two features that I thoroughly enjoy is it's easy yet comprehensive programmability. I have my VCR set to record many different shows with different schedules (weekly vs daily) and it keeps track of them all, plus it lets you know if there are conflicts. The second feature is the auto indexing: basically the VCR "knows" where each segment on the tape begins and ends, so by pushing one button, it will rewind to the beginning of your favorite show, and begin to play automatically. The remote is also very functional and can be programmed to operate your television.
The sound and picture quality are comparable to any other good system. The VCR is also extremely light--it probably doesn't weigh much more than the remote--and yet, it's still durable. This VCR is great for anyone who has trouble operating anything with buttons, and for the avid Friday night movie renters.
