Love the "extras" in your review! (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for all the "how to's" and cost saving tips in your review. I've just spent the weekend shopping for fryers and am narrowing down the choices. Your review is most helpful in that regard.
A few things I've learned are "a must" for my new fryer will be: large surface area (for cooking doughnuts and such), a vent system to keep it from stinking up the house, easy-to-clean, and easy to change the oil.
Thanks again.

Thanks! I am very excited.
The great thing about making home made ones is that - ironically, it is a pain to make them - so we make a whole bunch and then freeze quite a bit. Then they are on hand for whenever, and that second fry does the trick!

Thanks! There's just something about greasy foods that can be sooo appealing! Being a vegetarian, it's also nice to know what type of oil we are using, or what else has been fried in it.

True! We're looking at October or November, and we're going to do a destination wedding. Basically, we want to get married in a tropical location! At this point it just depends on what is available. I'll post it in my profile when I find out! :)

I love home-made French Fries -- and this deep fryer sounds like the cat's meow.

I would love to have this one. It sounds great, and I do have a taste for fried foods esp homemade french fries. You did a fabulous job on the review. Made my mouth water!
