Pros: Inexpensive used machines are available on eBay; wet, luscious color; fixed copy cost
Cons: Heavy machine, costs a lot to ship; by todays standards, this is a slow machine.
The Bottom Line: If you want the best wet looking color and a machine that just keeps on going, slow but sure, this is the machine for you.

As I write this, Xerox has discontinued production of this model in favor of faster models. That means this is the perfect time to buy one used on eBay. The price is right and the color is not comparable with anything else on the market. It is a rich, wet, luscious color. I purchased this machine because all of my local printers have one and when I took things to them for the great color, that is what they used. In addition to the great color, I fixed my operating costs to 50 buck/ month and 8.9 cents per color copy. A lot of my copies are on 12 pt glossy poster 11x17 and it still costs 8.9cents per copy. Call Xerox for supplies and they are usually there the next day and they load you up with them. (they are included in the 8.9 cents per page). This is a big, heavy, workaholic machine. Mine came with a fiery print driver. It did take a few weeks to get it all figured out and working well (mostly because we drive it with a Mac)....but it was worth it. By todays standards of speed, this machine is slow with 12 color copies per minute (6/min for ledger size). I load drawer 3 with about 300 sheets of 60 lb color copy cover then go out to dinner. Every page perfect every time. And, when there is something wrong, my Xerox tech is there soon and stays until it is running perfect again. I tried faster new color machines and there is just nothing that compares to the color output of this machine. This color is eye catching.
