| manicds's Full Review: iRiver iFP-395T (512 MB) MP3 Player |
This player has been great for me. Pretty much what I expected when I purchased it. I use it in the gym and while snowboarding. I chose this over the iPod for two reasons, 1)it is NOT rechargeable, and 2) it gets FM radio. Since I use it in the gym almost every day I did not want to have to pull it out of my gym bag every few days to charge it. I may forget it on the charger or forget to charge it. Either way I can't work out without my music. I also wanted the option of FM even though I infrequently use it. I like the fact that the 512 MB holds a good number of songs, but is not as overwhelming as the iPod's thousands of songs. I can still format it and put a whole new group of songs. It has also been pretty sturdy for me. It bounces around when I use it on the slopes, and I have run it into some machines and barbells in the gym, but it is fine. I did have a problem with the included arm band. It was way too small for my arm. They should include the sport band instead of making me buy it separately for another $30. The headphones were also not the best, but I hear most MP3 players are that way. I also don't feel the battery life is the 24 hours they claim. Maybe more like 14 hours. That is probably the main thing that bugs me.
