I bought this monitor for gaming. I have always used 17" monitors in the past, and I wanted to go "all-out" this time around.
First of all: Appearance
This monitor is huge, it is very heavy, and it is really big to sit in front of. The front controls are nicely arranged, and are easy to see. The power button feels very quality. The inputs at the back are heavy duty. There are two types of input, the usual monitor connection, and a composite 5-plug system.
The picture:
The image on the screen is adjustable. The focus, colors, tilt, pan, everything is adjustable. This is very good on a screen this big. The refresh rate allows a nice soft image, allowing you to view the screen for long periods of time without eye fatigue. I noticed that between resolution changes, the monitor made very little fuss (noise and flicker) occasionally going without notice.
What is wrong:
There is nothing wrong with this monitor, there are very small, nearly undetectable lines (2) going across the screen, but I never noticed them until a technician pointed them out explaining that they are for calibration. This is unnoticeable, and does not affect anything. also, when you turn off your computer there is a little screen that displays for a short (1 second) that indicates that the monitor is searching for input on either of two inputs.
Conclusion:
This monitor can be purchased for very little money, I bought mine refurbished. The value is exceptional, and I recommend it to all.
