Ben Hill Griffen Stadium at Florida Field has come a long way from since its beginnings a small field in the middle of sinkhole located in the center of campus. It has grown into one of the most feared venues in all of college football.
This 85,000+ seat stadium is large enough to be quite intimidating to opposing teams, but comfortable enough to enjoy without feeling "closed in". The open ends of the north end zone provide a little breeze and help keep the temperature down on muggy fall days. The seats rise gradually throughout and provide a great view from almost any location.
One thing you must be prepared for is the noise. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to discuss your latest attempt at resolving the deep dividing issues that plague mankind, you may want to reconsider. This is especially true if we happen to be playing Tennessee or Florida State.
One amenity I have not found in many stadiums, is the availability of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. This fact alone could just about justify a trip to the Swamp. There is a very nice store attached to the stadium where you can find just about every article of clothing imaginable with a Gator logo on it.
In all, you can't go wrong with this stadium (unless you are on the losing end of visiting team). The people are friendly and the facility is well thought out and kept extremely clean.
