| leegarson's Full Review: First Union Center |
I was so excited when I got tickets off of EBay.com to go see the Flyers take on the Mighty Ducks at the First Union Center on February 3rd. We got here an hour early and parked four rows deep. The walk to the Center was about the same as a walk from your car to the mall. When we walked in, we are amazed on how clean and huge the center was. You could spend a day walking around in there. We went through the turnstiles and proceded to the Victor's club, which is a very expensive restaurant/bar inside the arena. It was a little hard to find. While we were walking, we stopped and watched a live television show on Comcast SportsNet. They have a window right in the studio, and they were doing a show. Pretty cool, eh? We got in the Victor's club without a reservation and sat down. There is a window overlooking the rink. We got prompt service and ordered a couple of caesar salads (6.90) and split a "Appitizer for two" (28.90). That had clams casino, shrimp, and crab cakes. We exited and went to the elevator to go up to two 2nd level. We went to our seat, section 223, row 9, seat 1, 2. The stairway up is very steep and takes a little getting used to. The seats were very good. Their isn't a bad seat in that place (maybe the opponents bench or penalty box!!). The national anthem was sung and the game was underway. Bathrooms are plenty of bathrooms all over. The only bad thing was parking. A barney show let out at the same time in the spectrum. We waited a good half-hour.
