Pros: Clean humor, educational, and even captivating to adults
Cons: play the same shows over and over and over and over and over
The Bottom Line: IF you are a parent I would seriously consider doing a comparison of this channel to Cartoon Network. I think that you will appreciate the appropriate content.

Okay, I admit it. I watch Nickelodeon. Not only when my kids are hogging the TV. I watch it in the afternoon when they are still at school. I watch it at night when they are in bed. I even watch it in the morning before I get them up.
Why? You ask. It's because I like it.
Strange isn't it.
I have never in my life watched Nickelodeon until I had my own kids. And yes it was available and on cable when I was a kid.
Not only am I a fan of The Rugrats but I also am addicted to The Wild Thornberrys and a late night watcher of I Love Lucy. I even will watch The Brady Bunch.
Personally, I think that Nickelodeon is one of the few channels left where I can set my kids in front of the TV and feel secure that they will not be watching people commit violence against one another nor will they hear cartoon characters speak of the evils of nuclear power.
Odd isn't it? I would rather have my children watch Angelica be a brat on the Rugrats than hear Captain Planet inform them of what a screwed up world we live in.
Sure Nickelodeon is silly. People get slimed. A goony brace-faced teenager talks to animals. But I like it a hell of a lot better than watching The Power Puff girls take people out like it's common place to walk around kicking someone's butt!
