Nassau may not be the most beautiful place in the Bahamas but it is steeped with traditions and beautiful spots to curl up and relax.
Only a short flight from anywhere on the East Coast, you can get away from the hustle of everyday life, kick back and enjoy the sun and warm ocean breezes.
If Casinos figure into your idea of fun...never fear...they are here. Take a walk across the bridge and you are in paradise...Paradise island that is. Aptly named, the white beaches, blue water, and beautiful scenery rival the luxurious hotels and casinos.
If shopping is in your blood, the Straw Market is an experience that you won't want to miss. The natives have all sorts of beautiful hand made goods and objet d'art on display to take home to loved ones.
Don't forget the duty-free perfume shops where you can save money on your favorite scents. And if you like Emeralds, you'll love the gem shops located all alone the main streets in Nassau.
Take a short drive around the island and see the historic places that have survived over the years. I can't wait to go back.
