Pros: All-inclusive, service, staff, grounds, no tipping policy.
Cons: Limited nightlife at resort.
The Bottom Line: Overall, this resort was fantastic. They clearly appreciate tourists and truly want you to be happy while there. They are counting on you returning and satisfaction is their goal.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon to Couples Negril in Jamaica. We had a great time and would definitely go back. Our flight from Boston took only 4.5 hours and less than 4 returning home, via Air Jamaica. We took the free van ride to Negril from Montego Bay airport and it was 1.5 hours. We passed through some very poor areas but it was interesting to see.
Check in was a breeze, we were in our room in no time, changed and heading for the beach. We never had a problem finding chairs at the pool or the beach. The water floats were a different story, though. They went fast and there was no order to getting them, you just had to find one left from the previous day that was not being used. Most people used them just as chair pads and not as floats, which was annoying. The resort should just buy more of these. We never felt crowded, plenty of room everywhere. In fact, we never once waited for anything, whether it be a seat at one of the bars, or a table for dinner, or beach chairs.
The food and drinks were excellent all around. We brought 22oz insulated mugs and the bartenders were happy to fill them with the drink of our choice. They offered frozen drinks, premium liquors, red stripe draft, lite red stripe draft, miller lite cans, corona?, and modelo. They offer a reservation only restaurant that we went to once and enjoyed very much, but most of the time we just looked at the menus of the other 2 restaurants and the buffet and chose one. All were very good and service was fantastic.
Day time activities were plentiful. There was sailing, snorkeling, cruises, volleyball, games, waterskiing and all were free. I got a sailing lesson and was on my own in 20 minutes.
Night time there were some group games but we missed them. There are 3 bars after 7pm. The Terrace had entertainment on stage and closed around 10:30. The Beach Grill had no entertainment and closed at 12 am. The Piano Bar had a singer and singalongs and closed when the last couple decided to call it a night. The nightlife was somewhat quiet but it wasn't something that we missed too much. After a day of drinking in the sun, we were beat and ready for bed earlier than usual.
The rooms were very basic and we didn't mind at all. We spent very little time besides sleeping in the rooms. We would have liked a refridgerator, though. The grounds were like walking in a rain forest, and there was a resident peacock.
