| apastor's Full Review: Toledo |
There was a time when Christian, Jews and Arabs could live together. They did in fact live together in the city of Toledo in Spain during the early Middle Ages. Of course, then the "reconquista" started and Christians from Northern Spain kicked out Arabs and Jews. Walking through Toledo is a great experience. You can see Mosques, synagogues and churches. You may also see painted masterpieces by Greco and some of the most impressive old buildings in Spain (which is like saying some of the most beautiful buildings in the world).
But my favorite part of Toledo is the food. Granted there is a MacDonalds in one of the main "plazas" (square) of Toledo but if you are smart enough you will be able to get around eating there and you will be able to eat at a very good restaurant of castillian cuisine for a reasonable price (specially now that the Euro is so low).
But everything is not that good in Toledo. You can walk everywhere in Toledo. In fact, you should walk everywhere in Toledo but the problem is that it is in the middle of a hill and therefore there are many steep streets.
So go to the gym before going to Toledo but go to Toledo.
Is a great city.
