Pros: A free day and near public transportation.
Cons: I have been two times both, on the free day and it was crowed.
The Bottom Line: I enjoyed it.

I hope this epinion will make a good visit better. If you want to see one of the special events, like the Dead Sea Scrolls go in the afternoon. Seems like everybody gets up early to the first person in line but after 1:30 or so there is no line to get in. I arrived at about 9:00 and waited in line for more than two hours to see The Dead Sea Scrolls but the people going in as I was coming out only waited a few minutes. If you only have one day skip anything not included in general admission. There is plenty to see with paying extra I was drawn to a snack bar next to the ticket both where I had a sandwich that was wrapped in plastic before I left the hotel, you know the ones I mean a cup of soup with a fountain drink for about eight bucks only,to find a normal McDonals on a lower floor later in the day. If you want a place to sit down and drink fancy coffee the snack bar is cool but if you need a meal go down stairs. Museum volunteers give free tours several times a day. The one I took was led by a retired school teacher that dealt mainly with the Native American displays. It seem the tour guides plan there own tours and talk about what they feel comfortable with. I crossed paths with a different one while browsing and he was high lighting totally different areas.
