| jtlipps's Full Review: Universal Studios Florida |
When you read this remember a couple of things.
1. This is my opinion.
2. If you like the park, I am not attacking you.
3. If you don't like crowds or lines then you will identify with my opinion.
4. If you are ok with that you very well may enjoy the park.
I think that Universal Studios could do a better job overall. their customer service needs improvement.
I recently took my family on vacation to Universal Studios Florida. We went during their spring break and went on a weekday to hopefully avoid the really big crowds. HA.
The lines were horrible. The average wait was 1 1/2 hour with the Men in Black attraction boasting a 4 hour wait in the cattle chute. To make matters worse, if you bought a two-day pass you were given an express pass. For those of us who spent our hard earned money for the one-day pass, we got to watch these people pass us in line regardless of how long we had been waiting. What a rip-off. The park advertises that you need the two-day pass to see everything boy are they right. The lines get an F- if that if possible.
The staff was humdrum and lackluster. Some of the rides require the staff to be interactive and they really failed to come through with any enthusiasm. After the money we spent to get in you would think that they would make the experience positive. Not even close. The staff gets an F.
(The King Kong attraction, Jaws, and the Back to the future attractions had particularly poor employees)
The rides or attractions were disorganized and did not open when advertised. Some had video and audio to enhance them and these were of poor quality at best. For the staff and the customers it seemed as if we were just going through the motions. The attractions get a D.
The food was available all over the park and was theme based. The portions were small and the price was large. The food was of high school cafeteria quality at best. There were a couple of nicer places but to tell the truth I didn't feel like taking out a loan to try them. The food gets a D. (We ate at the Quake burger joint I think it was called Richter Burger and the Jaws fish and chips place)
The parking and kennel were actually good. The parking was easy to get into and out of. The kennel had a good price ($5.00) for all day. All that bought however was the cage. We provided food, water and walks. The parking did cost of course. The parking and kennel get a B.
Since the best part of this park for me was the parking and kennel, I would save my money. The parking is free at home and the dog likes the backyard.
