Where is it?
Ober Gatlinburg is in Gatlinburg, Tennessee! You'll find it right along the main strip!
Price
I felt the cost here was very reasonable. The price will depend on how many are in your group and how long you plan to stay. When you ride the tram up to Ober Gatlinburg they stamp your hand if you can manage to bath without removing the stamp you can come back the next day and ride the tram again for free. They do also have armbands that you can purchase that last the entire day so that you can ride each ride over and over again without purchasing additional tickets.
Activities
They have a lot of different types of activities to choose from. The tram ride that you take up the mountain to get to Ober Gatlinburg is amazing! This is one of America's largest aerial tramways! The first place you get to when you get off the tram is the shopping mall which also houses an ice skating rink and live bear habitat. Then once you've stepped outdoors you are in the middle of the amusement park! For the adventurous try the Alpine Slide where you take a short ride on the chair lift then slide down the mountain on something I can only describe as a sled on wheels! Or take the chair lift to the top of Ober Gatlinburg for fantastic views and catch a little music from the band that's playing. For the kiddies their is Kiddie Land which has a playground with chutes and ladders, a swing bridge, and a carousel among other things. Their are two water rides, Lightnin' Raft Ride and Shoot-the-chute. My daughter and I rode the raft ride and it was awesome! It's fast and wet! You sit on a rubber raft and they push you down a 40ft vertical drop that lands in a pool of water! There is also an arcade, bungee fun, a velcro wall catch, miniature golf and go karts!
Views galore!
The views are breathtaking. You will definitely want a camera and a camcorder with you! The sky lift takes you even further up the mountain to more awe inspiring views.
