Your Opinion:
Les Mis is a classical musical about love, war and politics. It appears as if it is as shallow as some of out movies but to the avid theater goers it is obvious.
There was not much I did not like about the musical although I did find some scenes wandering about somewhat. They went a little to far from what the musical was about for me. The Lyrics/Music was great and fun but I see people overlooking the true Shoreline. I expected people to see the plot about love and loss more then they have. The War is just a vehicle for the story between Cosset, her father, and her lover. The War provided conflict and obstacle for the relationships. I don't want to so in to the philosophical details, just point out some things to look for so one can better understand and enjoy the show. Also: : ) Please don't think the movie and the musical are about the same things...
Look for the war within the characters as well as the awesome war scene in the second act!
