I've never wasted so much money at a theatrical performance!
The show consisted of a series of disjointed skits which lacked both humor and cleverness. I'm appalled that other reviewers found this "cutesiness" appealing!
The radio ads around here blasted that this show was a theatrical 'Seinfeld'. The creators of those ads should be sued for false advertising. 'Seinfeld' is a brilliant opus on flawed relationships and personal ineptitude, to which most of us develop a real empathy. The characters are real and identifiable, not to mention hilarious. The drek I saw last night had none of those qualities. With one exception, the writing was flat, and the lack of continuity between skits was distracting at best. The fact that the characters are named 'Man1', 'Woman1', etc., exemplifies the viewer's inability to identify with any of them. To add insult to injury, the musical score was anything but memorable.
I was checking my watch every five minutes through the first act, and left immediately after that act was over. Unless the producers changed writers and composers intermezzio, I could only envision more of the same in the second act.
