Avoid Oxnard Location

Cons: Oxnard, CA location is under the impression that customers can be treated as disposable.
The Bottom Line: Avoid Oxnard, CA Hertz. Someone at Hertz Corporate, take note: do something about Oxnard.

The central reservations at Hertz seems to be staffed by nice folks. Unfortunately, the location in Oxnard, CA has done a horrible job of representing the company.
After arriving at the location, we were informed that the size of car we reserved was not available. We suggested they rent us the next size up for the same price, but they refused. They made it very clear through their rude attitude that they didn't care what we did. They continually lied to make it seem like we were late to pick up the car. The branch manager (Cindy Swanson) just backed up her employees, without giving any consideration to the fact that we were telling her something different.
I'm sure you are familiar with that experience where a big company treats you as expendable because, after all, you are just another customer and they have plenty. The whole culture at the Oxnard, CA Hertz location typifies that. Every single person I spoke to there treated us to the 'this is how it is, live with it or go away' attitude. There was simply no way to get real customer service where someone cared at all.
In short, the Oxnard Hertz location is doing a terrible job of representing the company. I am incredibly frustrated by the treatment I recieved. Somebody in the company needs to do something about it.
