I needed a cheap rental car for a 4 day weekend trip from NY to DC (600-700 mi. rd-trip). Rent-a-WRECK had the cheapest rates. However, I had to call several times to make a reservation due to the fact the reservations kept getting "lost." Finally, the day comes when I pick up the car. I didn't expect a BMW or anything, but a 93 Ford Tempo with 125,000 miles, unadjustable side mirrors, burned-out left headlight, foul odor, ripped upholstery, among other things? I don't think so. I can guarantee I won't be frequenting Rent-a-WRECK again or recommending it to friends and family.
