I live in Aventura, Florida. Have lived in N.J., and Boston. I am here to tell you that Bally's is a negligent business. Their free weight equipment is so old, antiquated, and number-less. Thus, one must guess the barbell weight they are seeking to use, since numbers are no longer affixed to the weights. Similarly, the roof constantly leaks everywhere, leading one to believe that the roof will fall in soon. Just a few months ago, a death occurred as a result of an individual using the Tennis Court at this facility. The light post was not grounded on the Tennis Court, causing an individual (16 yrs old) to be electrocuted. Talk about routine maintenance negligence, these guys are at the top, probably bordering on criminal negligence. From my point of view, they appear to care little about the well being and safety of their members. Especially when all these problems were brought to their attention years ago. I'm waiting for the next fatality...
