I joined Gold's Gym a few years back. One of my managers at work got us all really great corporate discounts. It was too good of a deal to pass up.
I had always wanted to join a gym but I never really knew much about it. I wanted a gym that offered not only equipment but classes as well. Gold's had everything that I had been looking for...and more!
When I first joined Gold's, they gave me 2 weeks free membership to try everything out. For a years membership I paid alittle under $100 (this was about 3yrs ago). This included all equipment, classes, day care (which I didn't need at the time), sauna, and tanning beds. There are also trained professionals there to assist you as well as personal trainers that are there for hire.
Gold's features everything from stationary bikes and treadmills to bench presses and free weights. They have numerous nautilus equipment as well. There are an adequate number of machines, I never had to wait to use a particular machine.
I was able to take several classes at Gold's. They offered step aerobics, Tae Bo and other light aerobics classes. When I wasn't in the mood for a workout, I would go and relax in the saunas or tan in the beds.
Gold's had great hours that worked around my work schedule. They opened at 6am and closed at 11pm. I could go before work, take a shower there and feel rejuvenated for work later. Gold's is great with military families also. When it came time to move, all we had to do was show them a copy of my husbands orders and we could transfer our membership to the closest Gold's.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with Gold's. There is not a Gold's in my location now, but I will be looking for a nearby one on our upcoming move.
