Venice at Christmas

Pros: Beautiful hotel, full breakfast included in the price , great location near all transportation Cons: Outbound flight very crowded / a layover in Germany / no tours included in price.
We used Central Holidays to book airfare and hotel reservations between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2005. Our flight over was cramped but the return flight was quite comfortable. Our hotel was beautiful and we had a full breakfast each morning. The location was near the railway station and close to boat transportation. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and CH was helpful throughout the process. Though the weather was cold, the crowds were non-existent and the price was great! Overall, the experience was extremely positive.

Ski Trip arranged by Central Holidays Winter 2003

Pros: CH was helpful in getting us to Moena and in a nice hotel. Cons: To many rep replacements, too expensive, didn't honor insurance refund,and lacked concern for customers.
Fourteen of us went on a ski trip to Moena, Italy sponsored by Central Holidays. The representatives at Central Holidays changed 2 to 3 times during the planning stages. Each time we had to bring the new rep up to date on what we had planned or paid for so far or what additional information we would like know. One man cancelled because of medical reasons early in the planning stages. He was reimbursed for the land portion but will never be reimbursed for the air portion. CH said they must have the receipt/number of the airline ticket. The airline (Delta) said CH did in fact have a record of ALL our tickets and just did not want to pay the refund. The ticket was returned to them but they said they did not have it nor a record; therefore, could not give a refund. We also had taken insurance with them. Shortly thereafter, they filed for bankruptcy. No refund ever given.
