Pros: Nice Engine Performance. Shifts when you want it to. Cons: Tons and Tons of problems. Will be in the shop often. The Bottom Line: Save yourself the hassle. Buy something else. This car has a bad deprecation for a reason.
The 2002 Pontiac Grand Am is not worthy of a five or four star rating. I am surprised of all the high ratings for this car, if you take a look on other websites that rate cars, this car rates below average. I feel I have to put my two cents here ...

Pros: Sleek, Sporty, Smooth, Fast Pick up, 3 inches shy of length of the Toyota Camry Cons: Resale value, Loud engine The Bottom Line: This is a great car for the money, and a nice and way cheaper alternative to the Toyota Camry or Honda Accord and virtually the same size.
I was lucky enough to get my Grand Am cheap as an 02 leftover which would negate the biggest con, which is the Resale value since this is a domestic vehicle. The ride on this car is amazing as it pulls off being a sporty sedan. It has the tightness and...

Pros: It is a decent looking car. Cons: needs major repairs on a regular basis, doesn't run half the time The Bottom Line: This is a horrible vehicle. It had frequent problems that are very expensive to fix.
I recently purchased a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. I bought it used through a dealership. The car had very low miles, and was in great looking shape. Having bad credit, I ended up paying a lot for this car, but was happy with my purchase. That was until about ...

Pros: Powerful new 2.2 4 cyl. ecotec engine, slick shifting 5 speed tranny, sporty appearance Cons: some flimsy materials used inside vehicle The Bottom Line: 2002 pontiac grand am is an excellent car with an excellent powertrain and build quality. Great looks, great ride, excellent power, and unbeatable price.
I have a 2002 grand am SE 1coupe with the new 2.2 4 cyl. ecotec engine, 140 hp, 150 ft/lbs of torque. The engine is so smooth that sometimes I need to check the RPM's to make sure the car is still running! The new engine and GETRAG transmission were...

Pros: Great look, excellent handling Cons: Large blind spots, high back end The Bottom Line: It's one of the best sports cars of the year.
This car met all my expectations, it's 3.4 L engine gives a lot of passing power and quick acceleration. The vehicle handles great in the snow and ice with it's Emergency Traction System. The fuel economy is great, when you don't drive with a lead...

Pros: Great gas milage, getting around 30 MPG highway. Cons: Could use a little more headroom.
I bought this car when it was already a year old and I have only had great experiences with it. Drives wonderfully, rides great, over all a great car. This is my dream car and I never want to get rid of it. Very comfortable to ride in as well as drive, plenty of front seat leg and shoulder room, power driver seat helps get things just where you want it. When driving everything is very easy to reach and right where you need it. Very attractive from the outside, sporty and great for anyone looking for a great all around car.

Pros: Great affordable car for a college student. Cons: This car does require alot of high maintanence.
I have had this car for over 4 years and I do not regret buying it at all. It has been a great car for a college aged student. This car gets great gas mileage and has helped a ton driving back and forth between college and home. It is also the perfect size to take my friends for a trip. Besides when first purchasing it, having to replace the battery, a leak in the gas pump, and the motor for the passenger side window, there have been no other problems besides the average fix ups.
