Pros: Fit and finish, Handling, Projected resale value and reliability Cons: Acceleration could be better, Initial price is a bit steep, Bland styling. The Bottom Line: A solid little economy coupe that I recommend 100%.
When I made the decision to buy a new car, there were two major factors I had to consider. With gas prices on the rise (the understatement of the year) I needed a car that received great gas mileage. I also needed this car to be extremely reliable. I ...

Pros: DURABILITY- Interior, exterior, drive, features-- the works. Cons: Surpringly, the turning radius! Also, a backseat cupholder deficit The Bottom Line: An amazingly resilient, quality car that resists anything you can throw at it. Honda's still got it! The 2004 Civic is a winner, and now you'll know exactly why.
Okay, I got bit by the crazy bug, and traded my first car, my 2000 Honda Civic EX (reviewed) for a 1996 Ford Mustang 5-speed!!! Ahhhh crazy world. That review will have to wait, the trauma that made me trade it back for the awesomeness, the Honda, was a ...

Pros: Handling, Gas Mileage, Resale, Sporty Cons: Bad in Snow, Underpowered without a 5 speed, Cramped The Bottom Line: A great Compact car that can be improved upon, but overall...a pretty good car
I recently turned in my 2004 Civic. It was leased. Do I miss it...some, but not entirely. This vehicle provides proven value, no doubt. You will never have trouble selling a Honda Civic, and it resale is a factor this car should score high among your ...

The Bottom Line: For anyone looking for a basic car at a good value, this is an unbeatable car - provides exactly what is needed in a fun and reliable manner.
I have driven a 2004 Civic for nearly 20,000 miles now, and can easily say that it's hard to go wrong with this car. I have yet to have a problem with it, and it continues to provide a great driving experience, even as gas prices continue to rise and the ...

Pros: Fuel Economy, Acceleration, Maneoverability, Front-Seat Room Cons: Noise, Brake/Throttle Response, Rear-Seat Headroom. The Bottom Line: Not bad, but check out the competition first before checking out the 2001-2005 Civic.
One of our cars is getting repaired so we're spending quite a few days with a 2004 Honda Civic Courtesy Car. The Honda Civic for many years has been known to be reliable and affordable transportation. It's supposed to provide economy without damaging ...

Pros: cute, clean, sleek, runs quietly, decent mpg Cons: could have a better mpg for being a hybrid, small The Bottom Line: This a good solid compact car with decent mpg.
I owned a '95 civic for about six years before purchasing my '04 Hybrid. My '95 ended up needing so much work done that it was cheaper in the long run to purchase a newer car rather than fix the old one. With the soaring gas prices, I was looking at a ...

Pros: motor, fuel efficiency, price, size, looks Cons: None that I can think of The Bottom Line: Never leave your key on your car seat with all the windows closed. This vehicle locks itself after a few minutes if the engine is off.
I have been the proud owner of a 2004 Honda Civic LX since July of 2004. This is my very first car. I decided to buy a new Honda because of its outstanding reputation and I have to admit this little car has met my expectations. I decided to get the ...

Pros: Economical, nice design, maneuvers well Cons: Acceleration
I had the pleasure to own a 2004 honda Civic. I had it for two years before it was totaled. I was hit by a large loaded down dump truck traveling at highway speeds in the rear passenger side. While I had the car I was thrilled with the operation. It is a great economical car and met all my expectations. When dumptruck hit the crumple zones worked and even though my young son was in the back passenger side where the impact happened, he was not injured. This car is SAFE!!! Honda is the dependable way to go!

2004 Honda Civic vs Dump truck

Pros: SAFE, SAFE, SAFE! Dependable, Great gas mileage, large trunk space, comfortable even on long trips Cons: no armrests, no rear cup holders standard, could use more small storage areas.
I've had my Honda Civic a little over 2 years with absolutely NO problems whatsoever. I average about 35,000 miles a year.
I'm writing this review because I had an unbelievable experience. I was rear ended by a 26,000 pound plus dump truck going 55 to 60 mph. I managed to maneuver and not have a direct hit Instead, the dump truck struck my back passenger side from the edge of the trunk and the full back quarter panel. The crumple design probably saved our lives. My Honda has been a reliable sound SAFE car. Each time I sit in my car I know I'm going to get from point A to point B with no problems. Even though my 2004 is totaled, we are ALIVE. I'm getting ready to purchase my replacement car. YEP!! I'm sticking with Honda Civic!!

Pros: Good gas Mileage, Rides nice Cons: Not very spacious, small trunk
So far my Honda Civic, 2004, has been the most reliable car I have owned. Before I bought my Civic, I had a 1998 Toyota Celica, which for anyone who knows cars would know that Toyotas are rated among the top for reliablity. I also owned another very well rated brand, a Mazda, yet my Honda is still at the top for reliability. The Honda Civic runs reasonably from 10,000 to 20,000 dollars and very comfortable considering the size of the vehicle. I particularly like the seats, they fit right to your body shape similiar to a mold. I would have to say the best thing about my Honda Civic is the gas mileage. My Civic racks up 29 miles per gallon city, and 38 miles per gallon highway. The way the gas prices have been going up, it is a very nice luxury!

No problems but few options

Pros: Great mileage and the money we have saved on gas. Cons: Scratches easily and highway mileage could be better.
Our car died Thanksgiving 2004 and we needed a new car ASAP. The dealer offered 2 colors; a charcoal and a pearl/light blue. Unfortunately we are lazy about washing cars and only the blue was available so we bought the 2004 Civic Hybrid and she has treated us well.
We live in the Boston, MA area and are treated to all sorts of weather, rain, snow, sun, ice, slush and the car has commuted as well as any other car. The car is VERY QUIET which is nice. We do 1/2 city driving and 1/2 local/highway driving and have put around 34K miles on the car and she is running perfectly. The only problem is that the paint scratches easily in parking lots and garages (more so than other cars we have driven).
We have an infant daughter and the car seat fits comfortably in the back passenger seat without requiring the front occupant to adjust their seat. We plan to stick with hybrids in the future and I would recommend Honda.

Pros: Styling, fuel economy, ergonomics, steering, safety Cons: Could use another 15HP
I just picked up a 2004 EX Coupe with 38K miles on it a week ago. This is my 4th Honda, and it carries all the familiar traits that make these cars enjoyable and Honda so successful.
