2006 Mazda MPV

Pros: Good power, smooth and quiet, great road manners.
Cons: Maybe the fuel mileage but this is a van.

2/23/2008: I now have a little over 40,000 miles on the MPV. It has been flawless as has been my experience with most Mazda vehicles. One key point - especially after this winter: while this is just a front-wheel drive rig, the weight and ground clearance allowed me to push through places where others could NOT go. I became the designated "chauffer" for my family when my wife, 3 sons and father-in-law could not get down the street. I REALLY like the MPV. I hope that Mazda eventually brings it back.
11/20/2006: Elsewhere on Epinions, I wrote about my 2002 MPV that I drove for over 160,000 miles. When I found out that 2006 is the last year for the MPV, I bought a brand new one. I use these in my business but have hauled granddaughters, sons, in-laws and out-laws around in comfort. I have been very pleased with my 2002, and the 2006 just improves on it... the ride remains taut and predictable... the 200hp V6 is strong... the seats are better than previous... the interior noise level has been REDUCED... the 5-speed transmission is "silky" in shifts. I am happy.
