Pros: Comfortable, roomy, well optioned, amazing headlights. Cons: Poor gas mileage, under powered, poor A/C The Bottom Line: If you are a local person, who carries around kids, with their stuff, and want apsolute safety, the Tribeca is the way to go.
UPDATED AT BOTTOM I have owned my B9 for about 6 months now. It is a amazing pleasure to drive for a SUV, or at least what Subaru calls a "progressive SUV". The fuel mileage is lacking, and low RPM grunt as well. I bought this because I ...

Pros: Loaded with standard features, legendary Subaru AWD and reputation for reliability. Cons: Lower-grade materials compared to competition, visibility, ergonomics, engine could use more power. The Bottom Line: Great alternative for Subaru loyalists and buyers looking for legendary reliability and resale, but not a best in class contender.
My drive behind the wheel of the new B9 Tribeca was rather surprising. The car's H-6 engine was smooth, quiet, and adequate in its operation and power delivery. I sampled a Limited model without the navigation. The leather buckets were of a good ...

Pros: luxurious leather, standard features, dual climate control nobs, subtle beefy engine growl. Cons: funky grill that you fall in love with the very moment you drive it.
My wife wanted an SUV because we are having a baby. We test drove every one on the planet. We really wanted a Honda pilot(we were in love with it) Reluctantly my wife went with me to Subaru and looked at the Tribeca. When we test drove it the Pilot seemed to pale in comparison. Certainly when it came to the leather seats. The pilot has a cheap vinyl look,
the Subaru has nice leather. With all the standard features and excellent ride quality, and all the unique safety features, to not at the least research and test drive this car would be silly. In my opinion it is the very best for amount spent. Oh a test drive does not validate a "consumer review", take it from some one who actually disliked it before they researched it, and bought it....ie the consumer

Pros: Great 2nd row seat, large DVD screen, drives and handles well. Cons: Lousy interior plastics, terrible rear visibility, bad access to 3rd row seats. Needs more torque.
Good overall vehicle. Can't wait for a turbo-charged version as well as rear backup sensors. There is no rear visibility because of the shape of the rear quarter windows. The highlights are awesome. Stereo is average. Center radio display window has a electro-static dust problem that requires a trip to the dealer.

Pros: decent truck space, 250hp not bad, love the dash controls Cons: Exterior around the hood and plastic paneling in trunk scratches very easy. Not Happy!
I do not know about other B9 owners but the exterior of this A.W.D. scratches very easily. Love the design and aerodynamics.
