Pros: Good headroom, Good safety features, Nissan name Cons: Gutless POS, No fold down seats, no stereo included The Bottom Line: A stripped 1.8 manual is the only one worth buying. Anything else and a Toyota Corolla wins hands down.

The Bottom Line: In today's tough economy, and with the risk of higher gas prices looming, cars like the 2009 Nissan Versa make more and more sense.

Pros: Solid, affordable car; great MPG; comfortable seats; fairly quiet ride Cons: Poor acceleration; add too many options and it gets expensive fast. The Bottom Line: For an econo-box, this is about as good as it gets.
So I left my job with a faceless multinational corporation, and, as is the case with most company cars, had to surrender mine on day 14 of my two-week notice. Don't cry too much, I had another (better) job lined up anyway. Being that I had sold my Toyota ...
