Terrible!!!!

by mamsf1 , Mar 22 '00
Pros: You can say you have a burner
Cons: You can't use it
A waste of cash! This Burner is incredibly hard to use! I consider myself to be decent with the operating of electronics, I can not figure out how to use this machine consistently! I've read the manual repeatedly and i am still unaware of how to copy a...

Pros: great, fast, easier than a computers cd burner.
Cons: not as many choices for song and dubbing choosing
Okay...this cd recorder is great as far as you wanting to burn a cd and not having trouble.
Although there are some problems with it and it is the fact that sometimes it messes up and recordes tracks you don't want.
Dubbing is another...

Compact Disc Recorder

by bnmck@digitalexp.com , Oct 14 '99
Pros: Copy CDs vs. Purchasing. Sound reproduction superior to cassette.
Cons: Cost. Relatively new technology available to the public and lack of competition is keeping prices up.
I recently purchased a Philips Audio Compact Disc Recorder and
I am very pleased with it. I shopped around before my purchase
and found that Sam's Club wanted about $100.00 less than
the area "Discount" Electronic stores. The...

Not Worth It

by Mikes83H.O. , Dec 02 '99
Pros: Nice to have if you are a DJ or something.
Cons: VERY hard to use and wire up.
I am the disapointed owner of a Philips-Magnavox CD recorder. To start the list of disapointments, it is difficult to hook up to an existing Reciever. You have to wire it to your receiver, then wire it back to the CD player. It is also difficult to start...

by blindcow7 , Jan 01 '00
Pros: Wonderful Idea, easy to use when you get the hang of it.
Cons: uses only digital, poor instructions
From the first time I used the Phillips CD recorder I fell in love with it. The recorder has many uses, and pros, however there are some problems. The problems don't fall with the recorder, but with the instructions. At first I believed recording would...

Phillips Beta Test shouldn't have been released

by rufus13 , Jan 14 '03
Pros: Has a digital output S/P-DIF, and is a decent player.
Cons: Unable to record
The usual good build quality, fine ergonimics. These guys have a different idea of what is good and right than the Japanese manufactures. No accounting for taste, eh? Bright display, good quality buttons, nice power supply, good transport, but it WILL...

by kreeper_6 , Dec 18 '99
Pros: Good system
Cons: MiniDisc makes this look like Old School
AHHHHHHHH! Don't waste you money on this. It's not that it's a bad choice,it's that Getting a MiniDisc system would be cheaper and better.Once a CD is Written, that's it it's written. No re-recording,unless of course you buy more expensive re-writable CD's...
