I bought this Sony product to use to convert all my old tapes into a more modern medium. I chose this Sony item because it was feature packed and was a Sony product. The item is easy to operate and allows you to easily make copies of your tapes, or with a few connections to your computer, convert your tapes into a more modern format with superior quality that only Sony can provide. The tape deck features Dolby noise reduction as well as the ability to synchronize recordings using the deck's Control AII port. Overall this was a great buy. The Control AII port allows me to operate the deck with my remote via my Sony receiver even though the unit doesnt have a remote itself.
