Pros: Excellent tuning, variable presets, variable skip protection, great headphones Cons: Bulky, radio was prone to die out, could easily be jostled open.
I had originally gotten the Aiwa XP-SR320 as a Christmas present in 2001 after having made many complaints of lugging a Walkman cassette/radio combo and a slowly dying portable CD player around campus, to the gym, etc. Portable CD/Radio combos had just...
Pros: None over other brands Cons: Poor reliability, poor customer service
We gave this player as a Christmas gift. It began malfunctioning by mid March to the point of shutting off randomly. Also the headset does not play stereo unless the plug is pulled partway out. Our daughter brought the unit with her when she came to...
Pros: It is portable and colorful which stands out.. good for working out with. Cons: This product has fallen way below expectation. the quality is substandard.

I wanted a good portable... by dean__dt3000 ,Sep 12 '02
I wanted a good portable cd player, nothing cheap. I was deciding on Panasonic Shockwave or Aiwa cross trainers. The panasaonics were more expensive. The aiwa are justs as rugged just cheaper. As with all cross training portable cd player they are heavyer and sound quality can befound in cheaper cd players. But the great thing is that they will never skip. These things are hard to skip literally. This one has an am/fm radio which is nice. Not so much for music but for new and sports. Anyone who runs likes sports. The LCD screen has much to be desired but who really cares what it looks like. Headphones are of good quality but can make your ears sore after 2 or more hours of continuos(spelling)use. Astheticaly it looks nice and clean nothing flashy. If your not an outdoor or running person your paying for something your not going to use. In one word that sums it up is Rugged.
