Pros: Phenomenal sound quality, Ease of use, Sound shaping versatility, SAT ready, clean look. Cons: Limited character display, no remote, no dim on main display.
I have been into car audio for over 20 years now. I do most of the installs myself and always research the hell out of something before I buy. I have always been partial to Clarion and Pioneer head units only because they have never let me down. ...
Pros: Sound quality, ability to hook XM, Sirius, MP3 CD's, Ipod and sound controls. Cons: Display runs slow when cold, Ipod is a little slow in searching through lists.
I currently own a 2000 Nissan Maxima. I don't have the Bose system, just the standard car radio. I have aftermarket Infinity 6.5 Speakers in the front and back. It always sounded good, but my problem was I was looking for a setup for a JVC Plug and Play ...
Pros: Stylish, great sound and features for the price tag, sat. ready (for either XM/Sirius) Cons: Limited to 18 manual cd titles
I just installed this deck today and I must say I'd be hard pressed to find anything else on the market these days that offers what this does for the price. It is a replacement for the stock unit in a Toyota 4Runner which just sounded horrible. ...
Pros: An impressive unit. Cons: Insufficient display intensity control
The Alpine CDA-9847 is a good CD Receiver. Im happy with it. Ill list only the discrepancies as I see them. I installed the system in a 1996 Toyota Avalon. Best Buy gave me a plug adapter that would bypass the car factory installed power ...
Pros: Great sound, practical functions, 3 preouts to drive speakers, colour changing Cons: ipod, SAT functions useless to me, no remote control, a bit expensive
When I saw this deck at a local a&b sound, I admit that I looked at others, everything about this deck is plain, and didn't have anything special about the display. I was drawn into flashy clarions or panasonics with their "organic" displays having ...
Pros: Plays mp3s/WMA on CD/CDRW. Excellent Sound output. Alpine quality. Sat Ready, Ipod ready. Cons: Price slightly steep maybe coz of Sat and ipod ready.
My Honda Accord had an Alpine older model that got stolen (NOT MY FAULT!!) and we replaced it with this model that plays mp3s and WMA. Well, given the fact that I hate carrying a truckload of CDs and still believe that iPod is just a very expensive ...
Pros: Sound quality!!! Ease of use. iPod ready. Detachable face plate. Cons: Having to hold down the power button to shut it off.
I'm a recording engineer. I work in music production mostly. I test mixes in my car a lot. I got used to my (slightly) high end Volkswagen CD player that came stock in my 2002 Jetta. I could tell if my mixes were right if it sounded good in there. ...
Great CD player, this thing is amazing. by cobra133 ,Apr 09 '05
Pros: Clean output. Great Features. Great Price. Cons: Lousy equalizer.
Ok, I have this thing hooked up to two amps. One 4 channel drives my highs, and a 2 channel drives my two 12" mtx thunder 6000 subs. My speakers are all apline S types. I'm using high quality rca cables for everthing.
Let me just say, this head unit is awesome. I got it to replace an apline cda-9825, and it is much better. It runs alot cooler, has more features, and can read mp3 cds. I dont know how it sounds directly hooked up to speakers, but the 2 volt preouts are TOP NOTCH with NO AUDIBLE DISTORTION. Also, I LOVE how the colors can be changed on the faceplate to match your cars interior, its a nice little bonus fetaure. The equalizer leaves much to be desired, but what head unit's equalizer doesn't? It has 3 rca pre outs and a seperate subcontrol. This thing has everything i'd ever want. Also don't buy the moving faceplates, they have a tendency to break.
Solid Deck for under $200 by jaminlogic ,Nov 28 '05
Pros: Easy to operate. Powerful. Can play MP3/WMA cds. 3 sets of preouts. Satellite radio ready Cons: Plain. Bass/treble settings takes time to get used to. BBE just a glorified "loud" funtion.
You get a lot of features for the price. BBE, Satellite radio ready, 3 sets of preouts, and it plays MP3/WMA cds. Sound quality is very good, and has enough power to run most aftermarket speakers. Although it's not as flashy as similarly priced units, you'll still get a solid built CD player with easy to use functions. Highly recommended for under $200 range.
Pros: Nice layout, easy to take in and out, and very sophisticated looking. Cons: The buttons dont come in pink!
I got my Alpine because I needed something for my new Ion. My dad and I were deciding on a middle priced but quality cd player, and this alpine fit the bill rather nicely! Not only is it easy to install, but it just looks very nice in any car. The buttons are sturdy and easy to push and turn when driving. I also like how it;s so simple. You push the volume for bass, and all that other stuff. And you put the cd into the slot and it pops right back out. It's not one of those that you have to push a button so the face pops down for you to switch cds. Because what happens if the face breaks and WONT go down or come back UP?? I also like that it comes with a simple case that is sleak and you can just slap in ur glove box. All in all I am a fan of Alpine, and this makes me even more of one!
