Pros: Incredibly clean clothes, energy efficient washer. Cons: Long cycles, can't add clothes after start, high price.
First of all, the Asko W6222 is a front load washer, and not a top load washer like the description states. Second, this is the successor of the W6221 and has been out for less than 2 years, so the other review is not for this washer. I ...
Pros: Pride of ownership for six months Cons: Very frequent failures
Asko has a slogan, “built to last longer”. While the machine might indeed be built to last, it is NOT built to WORK for any extended length of time. If you are thinking about buying ASKO, then consider this. I don't write reviews very often, I loved my ...
Can't plug W6222 into normal US 110 V plug by nico29 ,Apr 20 '08
Pros: There are no pros at all for me because I couldn't use the washer.. Cons: Asko should put clearly that this washer must be bought together with an Asko dryer.
Due to no information neither from the side of the seller nor from the side of the Asko company I bought this washer only to realize that I can't plug it into a normal US 110V plug (the machine requires european 220V).
I complained to Asko hotline and even wrote a letter to the head quaters. I didn't get a reply in weeks. It seems that they couldn't care less. Worst costumer service I've ever experienced!
In order to make this expensive washer work, I would have to buy a Asko dryer as well. The washer is meant to be plugged into the Asko dryer (strange enough: I've never heard of such a system). But I already have a dryer and I don't need a second one. I'm very disappointed!!!!
great cleaning-- beyond poor reliability by goodygoodrich ,May 22 '08
Pros: uses very little water and detergent and clothes are clean Cons: extremely poor reliability and very expensive.
May be eco-friendly on the water and detergent side but this is the second asko washer I have owned. I only got the second one because I logged over 100 complaints and failures on my first machine and so for a 'reduced' price asko replaced my first 6221 model. Now just 3 months after the warranty ran out the motor and control panel burned up. I was alarmed at the amount of soot and burn damage to the inside of the washer when the repair man took off the top. I am just glad that the house did not burn down. Asko was sorry but said 'too bad'. So two washers, 8 years and $1600 later I am not willing to pay $500+ to repair an obviously poorly engineered product.
