Pros: Compact, inexpensive, high quality LCD TV with AM/FM and speakerphone. Cons: Requires cable or good antenna for reception; no bass/treble; only 3 presets.
This is NOT what I would classify as a "portable" television, as it does not have its own power source. The manufacturer calls it a "low profile" television, designed for undercabinet or desktop installation, and it fits either of those functions ...

Pros: Slim, easy to setup, remote and preset buttons Cons: Radio needs antennas to work right.

Audiovox VE700 is a Lemon
by jooleer ,Nov 02 '06
Pros: Nice unit, when it's working. Cons: Speakers break yearly and warranty lasts only 90 days.
About a year after installing the Audiovox VE700 in my kitchen, the speakers went out. I took it to the local electronics repair shop and they said Audiovox doesn't sell parts so I'd have to send it to the company for repair. This I did in December 2005, paying for shipping and a flat rate of $135 to have new speakers installed. The repair came with a 90-day warranty.
It's now November 2006 and the speakers have gone out again! Since I'm beyond the 90-day warranty, the company says I'll have to pay another $135 plus shipping to get the unit repaired. It appears that to use this product, one needs to go through a yearly routine of: un-installing the unit; paying a fee of $135 plus shipping; re-installing the unit; and finally, going a month without using the unit while it undergoes repair. The Audiovox VE700 is a complete lemon and Audivox does not stand behind its products nor fix them when they have obvious defects.
