Pros: Accommodates all brands of bottles, and heats bottle liners too. Cons: An internal thermostat, and an external timer would greatly improve this product.
Okay, I admit it. I used to be one of those presumptuous, mothers-to-be, who assumed I would be breastfeeding my baby instead of bottle-feeding. My continual attempts to feed my son the natural way failed; thus, I was forced to feed via bottle. I ...
Pros: Time-saver, convenient, easy to use Cons: Expensive, on/off switch awkwardly placed, no automatic shut-off
This is one of those products that fall in the category of "great to have", but it certainly can be done without it. I put it on my registry list, just for the heck of it. Now I can't picture any other way of heating up baby's food and bottles. I ...
Pros: Heats quickly and evenly, basket makes retrieving baby food jars easy, lightweight and portable. Cons: No timer, harder to heat taller bottles quickly.
I live in an area with really horrid tap water, so the only way for me to get good quality water is to use the filtered water out of my refrigerator (and of course it comes out ice cold). Thus, I needed a bottle warmer!!! I went to Target and started ...
Pros: It works fast Cons: I felt it was a little expensive
After about two weeks of trying to warm up bottles by either heating water on the stove, or sitting the bottle in a bowl of hot water, I decided I HAD to get a real bottle warmer. The above mentioned methods were either way too slow, or a hassle to deal...
Pros: Evenly heats every time, Doesn't take up too much room. Cons: No automatic shut off
I read several reviews on this product and many other bottle warmers. I have only Avent bottles and found that other warmers would hold the 4oz bottles but not the 9oz Avent bottles (even though some advertised that they did). I hesitated to buy this...
Pros: Fast and easy! Cons: No off switch or auto temp regulator
Our baby turned 1 month today! I bought this 3 days after she was born (along with the Avent microwave sterilizer) after watching my mother-in-law boil water continuously for 3 days - both for cleaning and warming.
Pros: None. Cons: No timer or temperature regulation.
We went out and purchase the Avent Express Bottle Warmer on the recommendation of a good friend who swear by it. She claims that this thing warm up the bottle quick save her tons of time. We love the idea because our son is very demanding when it comes ...
Pros: Will warm bottle or jar of virtually any size quickly Cons: Makes the contents SCALDING hot. Beware.
We're a new mom and dad and I am a big believer in the Avent line of products. This bottle warmer, however, is not one of their more stellar efforts. The instructions say that once the bottle has reached the appropriate temperature (which the device is su ...
Pros: Small footprint, fast heating, easy to use Cons: Needs a timer at least, or even better an auto-shutoff
Our son never got the hang of the whole latching on thing so we are now feeding 100% pumped breast milk. This bottle warmer does have the advantage of being fast but it requires that you watch it very carefully. The warmer has a continuously variable ...
Pros: Works Good, Small, compact Cons: Not necessary
I registered for this item because I was a new mom and I thought that it would make the feeding experience that much easier. I read all the information about it and it seemed great. It said that is heats the food or bottles evenly in 4 minutes, unlike ...
Not very safe without auto shut off by phunchak ,May 30 '07
Pros: Heats up fairly fast and is fairly compact Cons: No auto shut off; and no timer; and very very expensive
You'd think with the Avent name on this it would be a high quality product and it does look that way on the outside. But it has no timer on it so you have to check every couple minutes if the bottle is warm enough yet. Also there is no auto shut off so if you leave it on, it will continue heating forever, even after the water has all boiled off.
Our old bottle warmer was one from Safety First and it was at least half the price and it would shut off after a certain temperature was reached.
Slightly better than a heated pot by svbowwow ,May 04 '05
Pros: Drop in convenience, Cons: Functionality of unit poorly thought out, easy to leave switch on
I had high hopes for the warmer as a convenience and time saver with the arrival of our newborn.
Great concept with poor design.
Avent certainly identified a need for being able to find a quick solution to warming a bottle without the dangers of uneven heat associated with microwave ovens. Unfortunately, I would consider this version 0.9 of a finished product.
If the Avent people are still having babies, I can't imagine it will be much longer before improvements are made.
Pros:
The shape of the warmer accommodates many bottles from other manufacturers.
Unit heats up very fast.
Light for travel
On/Off switch (not sure what others are speaking about)
Cons:
No safety off switch.
No timer (desperately needed) or at least a thermostat
Chart of times on unit mean nothing
Can seriously overheat the formula
1 - 3 on front virtually useless in how it affects the heat
Pros: fast heating, easy to use, doesn't lose water level fast Cons: price
We purchased one of these warmers along with the generic warmer and tried them both (we have a 2 level home). The Avent warmer is by far the better one. It heats our bottles up during the time it takes to change our daughter's diaper (and we have it set on level 2) ... sometimes too fast! It is quiet and doesn't lose the water level as fast as the others we have tried. (The generic one we had lasted 1 week and then we tried some other brands) ... we now have 2 Avent warmers in our home ... they are worth the money!
The FAST, SAFE way to warm bottles and baby food! Just add water to required level, select setting and switch on. Warms bottles or baby food in arou...More at Self Expressions
