Pros: Small and compact size and blazing connection speed Cons: none
I recently found myself in the market for a new wireless router because our current one started to have connection issues with our cable modem. This was a different from our other two wireless routers we have had (Linksys and netgear),which both ...

Worked great, right out of the box !
by jag-man ,Jan 26 '09
Pros: Ease of use, start to finish. Cons: None
I previously owned a Belkin G router. Even though I have been computing for 20+ years, it was the first time I had ever set one up. It was very easy to set up, so that influenced this buying decision. Setting up this one was just as easy. Setting up WPA online thru Belkin was a snap too.
This router works well through four walls to the family room, an "as the crow flies" 24 to 27 feet away with many electric/electronic appliances in between to possibly sully the signal. The G router just wouldn't do it, constantly dropping signals.
This N router is working very well with both my laptop and Wii, allowing me to use either for the Internet.
All in all, I'm very impressed. I would give it 5-stars.

Really like this router
by charlicc ,Mar 03 '09
Pros: Easy setup and great range. Cons: N/A so far
Easy step by step set-up went flawlessly. Full manual on CD detailed both the set-up and the process by which the owner needs to password protect the router. Signal strength has been great, even through multiple floors and walls of my house. This includes going through an external brick and mortar wall. Happy with router performance so far.

Telecommuters: DO NOT BUY
by ferricoxide ,Jan 10 '09
Pros: Inexpensive. Simple setup. Cons: Not usable with VPN-client. Overly simplified, crippled configuration.
I am a telecommuter. Therefor, I absolutely need to be able to VPN into my corporate network. Use of this device prevents that.
The first issue I found was that, when running in "access point" mode, my wireless devices could not talk to my wired devices. This meant I couldn't access files on my media server from my laptop.
The first blocking issue I found was that the default DHCP server range for this device was in the 192.168.2.0/24 network range. My corporate VPN conflicts with this. With my prior WRT-54g, changing this was no problem. This type of configuration change is NOT (currently?) possible with this device.
I had to resort to activating the DHCP server on my NAS and disabling the one on this device. Having done this and configuring my NAS to allocate out of a non-conflicting subnet, I found myself still unable to connect to my corporate VPN.
VPN'ing had previously worked when using my WRT-54g. So, I knew it was a problem with device. Googling around confirmed that this functionality was blocked on this and several other Belkin devices.

Great home router
by bokeh ,Jan 06 '09
Pros: Easy set up. No drop signals anywhere. Go out and buy one today! Cons: No gigabit support, no usb support for NAS drives. Must use cdrom for setup.
Bought this at Best Buy, since Staples was out of stock but BB still matched the price. Easy setup, was back online within 15 minutes. Good little router for trying Wireless N (draft 2.0). This was my first time with Wireless N, since I got a new notebook on Black Friday that had it built in. You can go from mixed mode (b/g/n) to straight N which would be the most beneficial if all computers in the home/office are set up for N. You can't go wrong at the cheap price. You will be pleasantly surprised.
