Pros: Easily available, Great taste and good body Cons: Because of the dry finish I consume this product in a flash.
I'm not all that savvy when it comes to different types and styles of brews. It was only just a few years ago that I was first introduced to a wit brew. I immediately liked the style though didn't understand that the cloudiness to it wasn't a ...
Pros: nice version good for the price Cons: not a classic
So now it has come to this. I am going to write a review of a beer from Coors. I realize that this is shocking to many. Why would a devoted beer geek subject himself to such folly? What will also stun folk is that I am going to give it a ...

Pros: Great tasting, authentic Belgian style wit beer Cons: None come to mind
Did you know that Blue Moon was a Coors brand? You do now, certainly, but if you looked on the label you wouldn't see any reference to Coors. Instead, the beer is listed as being produced by "The Blue Moon Brewing Company, Denver, Colorado and...
Pros: An interesting interpretation of a classic Belgian-style wheat ale. Cons: Hard to find, too expensive when compared to better brands, nothing really special.
I have been looking for Blue Moon Brewing Company's Belgian White, Belgian-style wheat ale for months. There was a certain mystique surrounding this beer -- at least for me -- since it is a product of the Coors' Brewing Company (which fact is not...
Pros: Nicely balanced flavors. Inexpensive. Cons: Coriander may increase affects of alcohol.
Not being a big fan of darker brews, I have developed an affinity for wheat beers that are balanced with a bit of citrus. Blue Moon is a product of the Coors Brewing Company which combines these two elements in a delicate balance that leaves ...
Pros: Cloudy, citrus-smack, crisp, refreshing: just what the witdoktor ordered. Cons: Just a touch heavy on the citrus; just a touch heavy overall.
Yes, it's made by Coors!
Now that we've got that out of the way,, let's talk about the beer. Blue Moon Belgian-style White (BMBsW), to use its new, Confederation of Belgian Brewers-approved name, is a beer brewed a...
Pros: Nice flavor - perfect for those wanting to adventure away from mass produced beers. Cons: Made by Coors!
Yes, this is a pregnant woman writing about beer. No, I haven’t had this beer nor any beer in about 8 months. Yes, I want one, I really want one. Unfortunately, this review will be written not from recent experience of tasting Blue Moon Belgian White,...
Pros: Very tasty and smooth, light and no aftertaste Cons: May be hard to get, not particularly strong-tasting
I have had this beer since it came out in 1995. I now know, thanks to Bruguru, that this is a Coors product. It seems like a well-crafted micro, but it would be Coors to come up with a beer like this. Coors has always been fussy with its ingredients...
Pros: Very easy to drink, quite tasty! Cons: Could have a fuller body
The first time I tried this, I was not yet reading or writing beer reviews (if you read the beer reviews I've done thus far, you might say I'm STILL not writing beer reviews!), so I decided I would try it again, as a more sophisticated beer afficionado ...
Pros: delicious citrus taste; very smooth Cons: maybe a little too tart with orange; somewhat gimmicky; not light in body
If a beer is usually drunk with a slice of a citrus fruit in it, can it honestly be reviewed naked? Corona is probably the most famous beer of this type, a Mexican lager always served in the bottle, never on tap, with a wedge of lime in the neck of the ...
Pros: Exquisite complex-tasting wheat beer w/ just the right touch of fruitiness. Cons: Possibly too sweet for food pairings?
So what do you think of when you hear of Coors Brewing? The legendary Coors Original? The weak and forgetful Coors Light? Perhaps you aren't a big spender and drink Coors' Keystone products. I'd be willing to bet, however, that you don't associate...
Pros: Highly drinkable, unique flavor Cons: Can be a bit pricey, Coors name may be off-putting
The first time I saw this beer in the store, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it. Seeing as how I'd been looking for something to break the cycle of Yuengling and Sam Adams (still love those beers mind you), I decided to give this mystery brew a ...
Pros: Light and fruity, simply a wonderful taste, not too filling Cons: Not widely available, kinda pricey, a LITTLE thin on flavor
The summer before last, my friend Carolyn & I drove out to Denver to celebrate my other friend Kara's 21st birthday. Kara, a native of Denver, suggested we take a tour of the Coors brewery. Halfway through the tour, one gets a small sample of either...
Pros: Very Light, Extremely Tasty Cons: Can't Buy It A Truckload At A Time
Never having been a big fan of any Coors products, I was quite shocked to learn that Blue Moon Belgian White was produced by the Colorado beer giant. It's not that I really have anything against Coors; they're pretty much in my back yard here in...
I am simply in love with Blue Moon Pale Ale. I discovered it in Delaware three years ago, and have been a loyal fan ever since. Always a sucker for a good microbrew, Blue Moon and I fell in love at first...
Pros: Great taste but mild Cons: Cost more than Bud
Blue Moon Belgian White Ale (BMBWA) is one of those very pleasant surprises, which one runs across when experimenting and trying new beers. BMBWA has many great qualities. It has a great flavor, no sour aftertaste, and is relatively easy to find. ...
Pros: Good Belgium White. Easier to find in local bars Cons: Shut down Celis for this.
Blue Moon is one of the microbrews owned by Miller. I stumbled onto it when Miller bought out one of my favorite breweries, Celis, and shut down the Celis White beer to help its Blue Moon. Grudgingly I gave it a try and I was pretty impressed. I still...
Pros: Smooth, light, fruity and delicious Cons: None, except the Coor's association
Coors is my least favorite big American brewery. Put another way, I dislike Coors beers even more than those made by Budweiser or Miller. Under extreme circumstances ( like a party where I've neglected to bring my own ) or on a blisteringly hot day when ...
Pros: Highly refreshing, uniquely flavored, awesome tasting beer. Cons: Can't describe the taste to someone who has not tried it.
The only problem you will encounter with this beer is trying to describe the flavor to someone who has not tried it. It is a combination of an ale taste with a citrus-like flavor on top of it. It is very smooth, and not at all bitter even when it has...
Pros: Wonderful flavor of light citrus. Cons: Pricey ...
I close my eyes and think of the flavor of Blue Moon Belgian White beer with a smile on my face. It is a beer for lazy days, and rollicking parties. It is a beer for in front of the fireplace ... or better yet, the beach side bonfire.
Pros: Easy to find anywhere in US Cons: overproduced, cheap imitation
First off, Blue Moon is a mass produced American beer masquerading as a premium, flavorful import or microbrew. In reality, it is made by Coors, the same people who brought you flavorless Coors Light.
Pros: Satisfying, complex taste; good with a meal Cons: Pricey like all good beers
Blue Moon Belgian White Ale
Grade: A
As someone who has been a diehard fan of Holland and Mexico's beers (read: Heineken and Corona) exclusively, I was shocked at the quality and satisfying taste of this Belgian brew. I was first...
Pros: It's different than the rest Cons: Not everyone will like it
I absolutely love this beer. It's not something that I could drink on a regular basis. For me this is more of a specialty beer. Something for those special occasions. It's best on tap with an orange... but you could even cut up an orange yourself and ...
Pros: Great fruity taste with a wheat after-taste Cons: It's seen as a feminine beer. Can be heavy at times
I am not a beer drinker and I love this beer. I found it during the NC snow of 2000 when we had over 21 inches, it was the only thing left other than the cheap domestics so I gave it a try. This is the best beer I have ever tasted. The fruit and wheat...
Pros: Tastes wonderful on tap Cons: Bottles take away some sweetness
I use to work as a bartender and have sampled close to 100 beers. In all of those beers, Blue Moon has one of the most distinct tastes on the market. Simply put, Blue Moon=Honeysuckle.
This means that for the ladies out there who say...
Pros: Very drinkable Cons: Not as complex as other examples
Man I love this stuff. I was kind of hesitant about it when I knew it was brewed by Coors, but this is the real thing. It has a slight bitterness to it. You can taste the corriander and orange peel ( don't know exact name ). I love Belgian white...
Pros: Unique flavor, traditional recipe Cons: Perhaps too different for some
Blue Moon's Belgian White is one of the premiere sipping beers around today. Why? Well for starters, to gulp this beautiful example of what beer can be would be a crime. You'd miss the wonderful head, the creamy body, the slightly astringent refreshing...
Pros: a strong, hearty flavor that doesn't fill you; perhaps the first dessert beer Cons: those not open to change may be surprised by its unique taste
I first came across this beer while dining at a local Ruby Tuesday's. The label was quite attractive, and after our hostess animately encouraged us to try it, my fiance and I did. Before tasting it, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, because although...
Pros: Great smooth taste. Cons: Not available year round.
During the holidays I made a trip to the local liqueur store with the intention of finding a micro brew beer very different from any I previously tried. Well that I did find with Blue Moon Pumpkin. This is the same Blue Moon Company that brews the...
Yes, it's a bit daunting at over 23$/per case when you can get a lot of beers for 9-10 dollars less. But taste it and you'll see it's worth every penny. Slightly bitter but in a very pleasant tasting way, it goes down smoother than most beers and leaves no bad after-taste. If anything it leaves a very pleasing taste in my mouth. A sort of a citrus flavor but not sweet, more bitter and heavier. It's a fairly heavy beer sort of beer more along the lines of a guiness than the light bodied American beers, except a little bit lighter than guiness and alot more unique in tase. Be careful, as these tastes so good you can easily find yourself grabbing for another. But whereas most cheaper beers may not have you feeling anything until #6 or 7 if you're a heavy drinker, these things will have you highly buzzed by number 4 or 5. At over 22$/ 6 pack it's 9-10 bucks cheaper than the easier to find cheaper beers, but worth every penny. I pony up for it every time.
Pros: Smooth, different, crisp, nice overall balance Cons: slightly sour, not for everyone
I tried this brew at the local Mellow Mushroom on tap. I was told it is best with a slice of orange, but I had it without. This beer has a nectar-like taste which is very different from any lager I've had before. I just didn't particularly care for the sour-like taste like my brother did. If I am going to drink a fruity type beer, i will drink Abita's Purple Haze. The beer was smooth and light with a crisp flavor but will be a hit or miss for most beer drinkers.
Tony Packo's dogs and Blue Moon by mpahl ,Oct 04 '08
Pros: It has very good flavor and goes well with many foods. Cons: Blue Moon isn't usually available at your corner carry out.
I recently discovered Blue Moon Ale on a visit to Tony Packo's in my hometown of Toledo, Ohio. It was an excellent compliment to the hungarian food at Packo's (dogs, stuffed cabbage, paprikash). I enjoyed this beverage so much that I now suggest it to my friends and keep a cold 12 pack handy on a hot weekend. It has good taste and body. Not like some watered down Lite beers.
Pros: Even the girls will drink this one, can find most everywhere Cons: Some don't like the yeast at the bottom of bottle, roll
bottle to encorporate.
If you're looking for the perfect barbeque, goes with
everything summer session beer, look no further.
Creamy head, fragrant but not overpowering with or
without food. Some like with twist of orange, or not.
