Pros: Quality, number of exercises, ease of use. Cons: Price
I love this machine so much that I bought the company. Well If I had the money I just might have! I have had my revolution for about 4 months now. This is the best workout machine that i have ever used. I have been using gyms for years and I would ...
Pros: Lots of workouts, flexible, easy to use, plenty of weight, quiet, smooth, Cons: It is not cheap
We have been adding various exercise machines to the fitness center in our development for a number of months. Some are brand new and others are used. The bottom line is that they are all top of the line machines and most provide numerous workout ...

Pros: Literally a revolution in the plate loaded machine line. Cons: Lack of traditional lat tower and squat station.
The Bowflex Revolution is one of the most unusual looking pieces of fitness equipment Ive used. In addition it is one of the most innovative machines Ive used. It s very modern looking with little resemblance to other machines by Bowflex. ...
Pros: Looks & style, smoothness of machine Cons: A little big for a 5'6" person
My husband and I pre-ordered the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym and received it a few weeks ago. While we had considered some of the power rod models, we were attracted to the fact that with the add-on plates he could have up to 600 lbs of resistance for ...
Pros: Systematic assembly, high build quality, incredibly versatile, easy to reconfigure, casual to tri-athlete suitability Cons: Fairly expensive, needs 11'x7', not really returnable, complicated for novices
For context, I am 6’4” 235, 43 years old in excellent condition and have been circuit training with Nautilus, Cybex, Life Fitness, Hammer etc. for about 20 years (but am not a fitness professional). My initial purpose for putting together a home gym was ...
Pros: Excellent full body workout, wide range of exercises, smooth operation, looks cool Cons: Effective leg press requires modification to machine, poor exercise documentation, wobbly bench
Excellent machine, but not without problems. Biggest issue: effective leg-presses require modification to the machine, which no doubt voids the warranty. To achieve resistance through a nice wide range of leg-press motion, machine arms need to be ...
Pros: quality, variation of upper body exercises, quiet, customer service, 10 year warranty Cons: assembly instructions, assembly itself, leg exercises leave more to be desired
First off- the item pictured is NOT the Bowflex Revolution I am reviewing. There are three different versions of the Bowflex Revolution out there, and the one pictured is not the full model that I'm reviewing (The one pictured is the either the FT or the ...
Pros: many exercises with good resistance Cons: very cheap plastic weights, they chip very easy, the shipping takes 3 weeks,
The machine has allot of exercises, The machine is a good machine, but i beleive they could of came up with a better way of making the resistance plates. The resistance plates chip very easy, and are a pain getting on and off. When i had received ...
Pros: Great customer service. Cons: Shady quality control, but it happens to everyone sooner or later.
Well, the problem with my Revolution is that it's...well...it won't come together. Now as silly as that sounds I'm not mechanically illiterate, what had happened was that the main support bar that the base platform slides in was bent so it wouldn't go ...
Pros: Looked like a machine that would meet my needs. Cons: Didn't keep delivery promises, and gave misleading information to cover this up.
I ordered a Revolution because it looked like a machine that would fill my needs. I also had a time factor, and needed a machine of one brand or another in two weeks. When I ordered from Bowflex, I was absolutely clear on my time need, and conditioned ...
Pros: Excellent materials and workmanship. Installation instructions are done well. Cons: Expensive. Look on EBAY for third party vendors first.
After owning this machine for about four months now, I have to say it is a very nice machine. I previously owned a regular bowflex ten years prior, and was complelled to get this one. I highly suggest the XP, because it has a smaller footprint, and very little in the way of differences to the full size model. Materials are high quality. It did, however, take about six weeks for delivery. You can also order this product, new, from ebay and save your self a few hundred dollars.
T's thoughts on the Revolution by teas ,Sep 12 '07
Pros: Easy to use and is an excellent machine. Cons: Locking tabs on the resistance plates are too easy to break off.
The revolution is an excellent machine but the locking tabs on the resistance plates are too easy to break off. In less than a year I've had to order nearly all new plates. I also have a Bowflex Ultimate 2. It is more durable but the attachments for it can be difficult for women or smaller individuals to hanldle.
Bowflex Revolution gives a great workout by trewth1 ,Mar 18 '06
Pros: smooth, good tention, quiet, easy to change exercises, folds and locks Cons: pricey, i am previous owner and got discount regular price 2800.00
The bowflex revolution give great tension. The plates are lightweight. My favorite part is the continuous tension(same tension is throughout movement). The weight is the same throughout the whole Movement.
This machine imo is good quality and well worth the money. You can do more than just tone with this machine you can build muscle. Ive had this machine for 4 months and i love it and my whole family agrees....even my grandmother and sister can use it for their needs (for all ages). I like the ab crunch on this machine (but you still need to diet...hehe.
The arms are adjustable makes it easy to get a good form for all excercise and even make up new ones.....yay!!!.... hehe. I love it!!!
Bowflex needs a new shipping company! by jwbrod ,Feb 27 '09
Pros: Most of the unit is metal, which is why is survived the shipment! Cons: Bowflex/Nautilus needs to fire their shipping company.
We can't rate the unit yet because we are still trying to get it put together. The problem is not the directions, or the customer service people who are available to help. Both of these are terrific. The problem was the fact that the five boxes arrived on our door step and looked like they had been dropped from a plane and then rolled down a hill! I am serious - they were so bad that had we been home when the shipment arrived, we have refused to accept the shipment.
So, after spending $3000.00 for their top of the line gym, and after waiting over six weeks for it to arrive, we will now have to wait another two weeks for replacement parts to arrive as - of course - the unit was damaged in shipment. We are going to continue to put it together, and I will not be surprised if there are more broken parts. We have no choice here but to deal with it.
Thank God they have great people who are readily available to assist you.
Pros: easy to use, don’t have to go to gym, stay at home, comfortable, not complicated Cons: heavy, lots of money
Bow flex is a really good machine. When I don’t have time to go to the gym I just go down stairs and begin my workout. Sometimes when I go to the gym I feel uncomfortable when people look at me. They make me feel like I am not using the machine correctly, even when I know how to use it. I used to have to go buy my weights, now I have to just adjust the weights on the machine. I have all the things I need to workout now. It is all in one spot. Before I had all my workout equipment all over my basement.
