When I used Capture with my 3 year old Electrolux, it filled the bag with so much powdery dust that it caused the bag to burst. The powder from the burst bag went all through the motor of my Electrolux and made it necessary to have the vacuum cleaner motor cleaned out which cost me $100. There was no warning in the vacuum instructions, on the bag or on the Capture products that this could occur. Even after reading a few good reviews here, I am afraid to use Capture again and risk ruining a very expensive vacuum cleaner.

I tried using this on an off white carpet where the kids walked back and forth in the bedroom.  This product does not work.  It did not remove any of the dirt from the carpet and the powder only partially vacuums up.  I would not recommend this product.

Pros: Easy, actually works, and no mess afterwards.
Cons: Fix Instructions.  Too expensive for whole house.

3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 4yr old, and juice and coffee spots in light beige carpet. Bought the 1lb total kit @ $15.00 just to try out. Guess what, I was surprised the stuff works. I cleaned a 2'x2' area with a dirty juice line in it. Cleaned up the old juice spill after a couple of applications. Probably only needed one application but I followed the instructions and vacuumed after 30mins. Wait until the application area is completely dry before vacuuming. I tested out around a 1' area next to the 4yrold's chair in the dining room. I did 1/2 the area, waited an hour until dry and then vacuumed. Spot and no spot, night and day. We typically use our Bissel Steamer every other month. The spots look bad until we break it out, but no longer with this stuff. I did notice they had a product for wet cleaners that I am looking for. I will happily switch, if I can find it around where I live.

My husband and I have a carpet cleaning business and we recommend Capture to all our customers for after care of their carpets. Capture works great and smells great. It is also very easy to use.

Pros: Easy to use, great at getting stains out, fairly convenient.
Cons: Needing more than one application to remove the stain.

My sister began using Capture  a few years ago, on the advice of a capet salesperson.
Because of her success getting pet stains out of her carpet, I thought I would give it a try.
So far because of Capture I have saved my carpet from vomit stains, coke stains, dark green paint stains, marker stains, muddy dog tracks, and black grease from the garage.
It can take some work and due dilligence to get the stains out, but I haven't met a stain yet that Capture couldn't remove.
I usually leave the cleaner and powder on the carpet for more than 30 minutes, I try to leave it over night if possible.
