Pros: Looks good, stand is convenient, fairly easy clean up Cons: No on/off switch, plastic top
UPDATE: My coffee pot died after using it everyday for about a year - I'm really disappointed in this. The plastic top came off and I was able to stick it on the top and have the pot still perk. Well, the pot has officially stopped perking. The suction ...

Nice looking but ...........................................
by cinderella435 ,Apr 28 '05
Pros: Looks good...........excellent customer service Cons: Coffee just not hot enough
When my 20 year old Farberware (made in USA) percolator gave up the ghost, I went shopping for another and found that all of the new Farberware pots are made in CHINA, soooooooooo I decided I could handle the Italian stuff and opted for a DeLonghi percolator for replacement. Low and behold it, too, is made in PRC (People's Republic of China). OK.............now after the 3rd pot, I have gone back to a Farberware one because the DeLonghi pots just do NOT produce hot coffee!! I had two of the models with separate base and one regular percolator. The regular one produced a bit hotter cup of brew but not hot enough. Too bad..............I must admit the customer service was excellent and they tried, but alas, I shall not buy another.

Disappointing Percolator
by sawzall ,Nov 20 '05
Pros: Sturdy construction and handle. Handsome chrome. Cordless. Cons: Erratic perking, no on-off switch, not hot enough and too many grounds in the coffee.
This coffeepot perks weakly, perking only about 25% of the time. Using cold water to start and less than 6 cups doesn't work well. The green ready light comes on too quickly to give the pot time enough to perk or heat up. In desperation I ended up having to pour boiling water over the grounds. The old-fashioned basket allows too many grounds to get into the coffee even if coarsely ground. There is no on-off switch. The see-through window in the top comes loose frequently. For the high price this pot was a big disappointment.
